Announcing the TOL Pump Project

One life necessity that many communities lack is water. Access to water is the foundation of human life. Without H20, life is prioritized by the grinding reality of who, what, and when to get water daily.

We’re thankful to announce the Tree of Life (TOL) Pump Project. This blessed project provides safe water. We install pumps close the village centers. This cuts hours of walking time. According to the WHO, many people, primarily women, spend up to two and a half hours walking round trip to collect water, that’s over a billion hours a year in Sub-Saharan Africa.

For a sponsorship of $1,500, we can build a clean well which will serve hundreds. We solve the water needs of these impoverished communities. When communities have access to clean water, it frees time and energy for work, education, and further infrastructure projects. Clean water positively impacts every aspect of the life of a community.

Washing with soap and water is one of the most simple and effective ways to prevent the spread of disease. Unfortunately, three billion people still don’t have soap and water in their homes. According to the World Bank, 40% of the world’s population is deprived of this basic need. The lack of potable H2O means we have much work ahead so everyone can eat and drink safely, wash up afterward, and dispose of dirty water. Providing clean water is a hand-up not a handout.
